*உலக பொம்மலாட்ட தினம் ( World Puppetry Day) :
பொம்மைகளில் நூலைக் கட்டித் திரைக்குப்பின்னால் இருந்து
இயக்கியபடி கதை சொல்லும் கலை 'பொம்மலாட்டம்'. கூத்து வகையைச்
சேர்ந்தஇந்தக் கலை, நமது பழமையான மரபு வழிக் கலைகளில் ஒன்று.
World Puppetry Day, comes every March 21. The idea came from
the puppet theater Artist Javad Zolfaghari fromIran. In 2000 at the
XVIII Congress of the Union Internationale de la Marionnette, (UNIMA -
(Union Internationale de la Marionnette-International Puppetry
Association ) in Magdeburg, he made the proposal for discussion. Two
years later, at a meeting of the International Council of UNIMA in
June 2002 in Atlanta, the date of the celebration was identified. The
first celebration was in 2003.

எழுச்சிமிக்க கவிதைகள் நாட்டின் சுதந்திரத்திற்கும்,
புரட்சிக்கும் வித்திட்டிருக்கிறது.இரண்டு வரிகளைக் கொண்ட திருக்குறள்
உலகம் முழுவதும் போற்றப்படுகிறது. 'யுனெஸ்கோ' (UNESCO -- The United
Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) 1999ஆம்
ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் 21 அன்று பாரிஸ் நகரில் 30 ஆவது பொதுமாநாட்டை
நடத்தியது.இந்த மாநாட்டில் உலக கவிதைகள் தினமாக மார்ச்21ஐ
அறிவித்தது.இதனை ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது.

வனங்கள் அழிக்கப்படுவதால் உலகில் வெப்பநிலை கூடுகிறது.
காடுகளின் அவசியத்தை உணர்த்த உலக காடுகள் தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
The International Day of Forests, the 21st day of March, was
established by resolution of the United Nations General Assemblyon
November 28, 2012. Each year, various events celebrate and raise
awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and trees outside
forests, for the benefit of current and future generations.Countries
are encouraged to undertake efforts to organize local, national, and
international activities involving forests and trees, such as tree
planting campaigns, on International Day of Forests. The Secretariat
of the United Nations Forum onForests, in collaboration with the Food
and Agriculture Organization, facilitates the implementation of such
events in collaboration with governments, the Collaborative
Partnership on Forests, and international, regional and subregional
organizations.International Day of Forests was observed for the first
time on March 21, 2013.
In November 1971, the "States members" at the 16th session of the
Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization, voted to
establish "World Forestry Day" onMarch 21 of each year.

இனக்கொள்கைக்கு எந்தவித அடிப்படை விஞ்ஞானமும் இல்லை.மனிதனை
இனங்களாகப் பிரிக்கப்படுவது எந்தவிதத்திலும் சரியானதல்ல. மனிதர்களுக்கு
இடையே இனபேதம் பார்ப்பது சமூக விரோதச் செயல் என யுனெஸ்கோ தெரிவிக்கிறது.
உலகின் பல நாடுகளில் இனவெறி இருப்பதைக் கருத்தில்கொண்ட ஐ.நா.சபை 1966ஆம்
ஆண்டில் மார்ச் 21ஐ சர்வதேச இனப்பாகுபாடு நிராகரிப்பு தினமாக அறிவித்தது.
The International Day for the Elimination of Racial
Discriminationis observed annually on21 March. On that day, in 1960,
police opened fireand killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstrationin
Sharpeville, South Africa, against the apartheid pass laws.
Proclaiming the day in 1966, the United Nations General Assembly
called on the international community to redouble its efforts to
eliminate all forms of racial discrimination.

*உலக டவுன் சிண்ட்ரோம் தினம் (World Down Syndrome Day):
நோய் எப்போதும் மனிதனின் பகுதியாகவே உள்ளது. டவுன் சிண்ட்ரோம்
என்பது மனவளர்ச்சி குன்றியதைக் குறிப்பிடுகிறது. இந்த நோயானது மனித
செல்லுக்குள்,குரோமோசோமில் ஏற்படும் பிழையால் ஏற்படுகிறது. இதை
மருத்துவரீதியாக ட்ரைசோமி 21 (Trisomy 21) என்று அழைக்கிறார்கள். இதை
முதலில் கண்டறிந்தவரான ஜான் லாங்டன் டவுண் (John Longdon Down) என்பவரது
பெயரைக் கொண்டு இந்தக் குறைபாடு 'டவுண் சிண்ட்ரோம்' (Down syndrome) என
அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
இந்த நோயைப் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்த ஐ.நா.பொதுச்சபை 2011ஆம்
ஆண்டு, டிசம்பர் மாதத்தில் மார்ச்21ஐ உலக டவுன் சிண்ட்ரோம் தினமாக
அறிவித்தது.

Members):
ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் அதிகாரிகள் பலர் சட்ட விரோதமாக
கடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர். முன்னாள் பத்திரிகையாளர் அலெக் கோலெட் (Alec
Collett) பாலஸ்தீன முகாம் அருகில் சேவைபுரிந்து
கொண்டிருக்கும்போது1985ஆம் ஆண்டில் துப்பாக்கி முனையில் கடத்தப்பட்டார்.
அவரது உடல் 2009ஆம் ஆண்டில் கிடைத்தது.இதனை நினைவு கொள்ளவே ஒவ்வொரு
ஆண்டும் மார்ச் 21 அன்று இத்தினம் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
